Last month, we have made a very important step to our fraud-free future. Tapgerine has officially received a Verified by TAG (Trustworthy Accountability Group) status.
Fraud is the most drastic plague of affiliate marketing, costing companies thousands of dollars monthly. As a network, you can either take it as a given or fight it.
At Tapgerine, we’ve chosen to do everything in our power to lower the risks for ourselves and our partners. This decision has brought us to TAG.
Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG) is a first-of-its-kind cross-industry accountability program to create transparency in the business relationships and transactions that undergird the digital ad industry while continuing to enable innovation.
Core areas of work:
- eliminating fraudulent digital advertising traffic,
- combating malware,
- fighting ad-supported Internet piracy to promote brand integrity,
- promoting brand safety through greater transparency.
TAG was created by the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A’s), Association of National Advertisers (ANA), and Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and works collaboratively with companies throughout the digital ad supply chain.
According to 614 Group (digital advertising infrastructure consultancy) research, the use of TAG Certified distribution channels for digital advertising reduced the fraud level to 1.48% (83% reduction over average numbers in the industry).
Ernst & Young concluded that anti-piracy steps taken by the digital advertising industry have reduced ad revenue for pirate sites by between 48 and 61 percent.
We are truly proud to be a part of the movement against malicious activity in the digital advertising industry.
